[Medical] Ikegami medical monitors chosen for Estonian hospital operating theatres

Ikegami Medical Grade full high-definition monitor displays are now being used in the operation rooms at East-Tallinn Central Hospital in Estonia.  Four MLW-2623C-DC LCD video screens were supplied by Ikegami's Estonian distributor, Balti Intermed OÜ. One is integrated in each of four ultra-modern operating theatres. Each monitor is suspended from an overhead arm which is articulated to provide considerable freedom of location. Each screen enables a surgeon's colleagues to follow main close visual track of a procedure in progress.

The Ikegami MLW-2623C-DC displays formed part of a larger project by Balti Intermed, also including operating table systems, surgical lighting and overhead equipment.

Supported by a three-year warranty, the Ikegami MLW-2623C is a 26-inch LED-backlit monitor with 10-bit true-color digital signal processing designed to deliver high contrast images across a wide 178 degree viewing angle. The monitor's LED backlight contributes to uniform image illumination and power economy. Images can be flipped horizontally and vertically to correct image inversion caused by optical instruments such as surgical microscopes.

A signal compensation feature within the MLW-2623C gives installed the freedom to use DVI-D connection cables of up to 30 meters length without signal degradation. Up to eight alignment settings can be configured and stored as presets for immediate recall. These settings include parameters such as chroma, color temperature, display mode, hue, gamma and the individual gain levels of R, G and B colour components. A variety installation brackets can be chosen to simplify attachment to a wall or support arm.

Based in Tallin, Balti Intermed OÜ is a wholesale distributor of pharmaceuticals and medical equipment in Estonia with over 20 years of experience in executing large scale hospital projects.
